Our client are a leading manufacturer providing specialist solutions to a variety of industries such as aerospace, power generation, rail and oil and gas industries. They are looking for an experienced Precision Assembler to join the team.

Scope of Role:

  • To build electro-mechanical assemblies to technical drawings and SOPs.
  • To inspect and test finished products to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • To upgrade and repair electro-mechanical assemblies.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Electro-mechanical assembly work to drawings.
  • Use basic hand tools and measuring equipment, for example, torque drivers, micrometers and verniers.
  • Assemble parts or units according to specifications.
  • Connect cables and wires according to specifications.
  • Conduct tests and inspections to identify and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Participate in any Continuous Improvement and 5S activities that affect the quality or output of the product.
  • Carry out all activities as defined above in a timely manner to ensure the company manufacturing targets are achieved.

Professional Knowledge & Experience:

  • Able to read and understand drawings (2D and 3D).
  • Able to work from SOPs in tandem with drawings.
  • Able to read, write and understand English.
  • Desirable experience in electro-mechanical assembly.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical components.
  • Soldering skills on small components.
  • Experience in assembling small components, i.e. model kits or other small component assembly.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Methodical / logical.
  • Good time management.
  • Able to communicate at all levels.
