Our client are now looking for a Mechanical Fitter on a permanent basis.Polisher FettlerPermanent£26,000 – £29,000Overtime AvailableMonday to Friday, 8:30am – 5pmSandyOverviewSkilled Polisher/Fettler Engineer is required by long established and respected engineering manufacturing Company.This interesting and varied “hands-on” role is working in building food processing machinery in Stainless steel. The role is working in a small polishing department of 4 metal polishing engineers.You will need to have significant experience in polishing and fettering working on Stainless-Steel metal finishes. (Satin / Mirror / Shot Blast / Scotch-bright)Basic Function
- You will be required to work in a small vicinity with extraction but quite a dirty environment.
- You will also be required to work on large machinery outside of the polishing shop due to the magnitude of machines we are manufacturing in size.
- You may be required to go on-site from time to time to help assist in the installation of the equipment to customers.

You would be contracted to work 39 hours per week, Monday – Friday with a 10 minute break 10.00 am – 10.10 am and ½ hour lunch-break 1.00 pm – 1.30 pmWorking Hours:Monday 7.30 am – 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm – 4.00 pmTuesday 7.30 am – 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm – 4.30 pmWednesday/Thursday 7.30 am – 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm – 5.00 pmFriday 7.30 am – 12 noon (unless working overtime).Overtime is generally available paid at 1.5 times hourly rate Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings. It is expected that a reasonable amount of overtime be worked as requested by Supervisor or Manager
