Financial Controller
Permanent Position
Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Hybrid – 2-3 Days WFH Once Established
Leicester
Job Responsibilities:
- Taking responsibility for the delivery of the finance function and managing a small finance team
- Ensuring accurate product costing, inventory valuation, financial reporting and effective control of WIP
- Managing WIP accounting across multiple production stages, investigating variances and improving financial controls
- Working closely with production, operations, procurement and supply chain teams to improve financial performance and reporting
- Supporting month-end, budgeting, forecasting, cost modelling and continuous improvement across the finance function
Essential Skills:
- Fully qualified Chartered Accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent (CIMA preferred)
- Strong experience within a manufacturing, engineering or complex project-based environment, with a strong understanding of production and procurement processes
- Proven experience managing significant WIP balances, with strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory accounting
- Knowledge of IFRS inventory accounting and experience using ERP systems
