Our client is a global, leading precision component manufacturer primarily operating in the Aerospace sector. They manufacture precision engineered parts for aerospace customers (mainly precision fabrication and machining) and are looking for a Laser Setter/Operator to join their growing team. You will be responsible for setting and operating the Laser machines. Laser Setter/Operator Permanent Hours (days) 7:30am – 4:30pm Mon-Thurs 7:30am – 12:30pm Friday Days Grade A – £15.12 per hour / £30,663.36 per annum Grade B – £15.79 per hour / £32,022.12 per annum Hours (lates) 4:30pm-2:30pm Monday to Wednesday 4:30pm – 1:30am on Thursday Lates (with £2.77 per hour shift allowance) Grade A – £17.89 per hour / £36,280.92 per annum (including SA) Grade B – £18.56 per hour / £37,639.68 per annum (including shift allowance) Laser Setter/Operator Job Description Use and control of Lasers in accordance with relevant procedures. Ability to read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation. Understanding of and safe use of air tools and hand tools Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process. Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures. Complete laser cutting operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve the required output levels. Laser Setter/Operator Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications Previous experience of working in a highly regulated industry (Aerospace preferably) Previous experience setting and operating multi-axis laser machines OR Previous experience setting and operating flatbed lasers or 3+ Axis CNC machines (milling, turning, EDM etc) Laser Setter/Operator Company Benefits Early Friday Finish 31 days Annual Leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays) Participation in the Employee Bonus Scheme & Pension Scheme Eligibility (4% employer) If you feel you’re a good fit for this position, please click ‘apply
