Mechanical / Mechatronics Design Engineer
Make your designs work in the real world.
Are you a Mechanical or Mechatronics Design Engineer looking for a role where you can take real ownership of your designs from concept through to production?
Our client are looking for a Mechanical / Mechatronics Design Engineer to join their team and play a key role in designing the next generation of robust, field-ready machinery.
The Role
You’ll have full ownership of projects, taking designs from initial concepts and 3D models through prototyping, testing, validation and into commercial production.
Working across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, you’ll develop practical engineering solutions that are built to perform in demanding agricultural environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop agricultural machinery from concept through to production.
- Create detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Design practical mechanical fabrications and machined components.
- Support the integration of hydraulic and electrical systems, including actuators, motors, sensors and controls.
- Support prototyping, testing and validation of new and existing products.
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines to develop reliable, practical solutions.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- 3+ years’ experience in machinery, mechanical or mechatronic system design.
- Experience integrating mechanical systems with electrical components, sensors, actuators or control systems.
- A good understanding of tolerances and manufacturing processes.
- Experience designing machined components and fabrications.
- A Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering qualification, or equivalent industry experience.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
- Previous experience with agricultural machinery would be advantageous.
Why Join?
This is an opportunity to work on real engineering projects where you can see your designs move from a CAD screen into production and ultimately into the field.
If you enjoy practical engineering, solving real-world problems and having ownership of the products you design, this could be an excellent next step.
