Are you a Mechanical Fitter looking for a new opportunity? The client is a manufacturer of sectors we serve via our Commercial, Domestic, Residential, and Service divisions.

The Mechanical Fitter is responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and inspecting pump and pressurisation equipment to ensure products meet quality and performance standards.

- Assemble pump sets, booster sets, pressure vessels, valves, and associated pipework.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and assembly instructions.
- Carry out mechanical fitting, installation, and testing of water pumping systems.
- Perform fault-finding and diagnose assembly or performance issues.
- Conduct quality inspections and pressure testing on completed units.
- Use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and workshop machinery safely.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with company quality standards and production schedules.
- Complete build documentation and testing records accurately
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Support continuous improvement activities within the workshop.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Mechanical Fitter, Assembly Technician, Pump Engineer, or Manufacturing role.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Experience with pumps, motors, pipework, valves, or fluid handling equipment.
- Strong mechanical assembly and fault-finding skills.
- Competent in using hand and power tools.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Mechanical Engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, Apprenticeship) advantageous. .
