You’ll play a crucial role in supporting the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) strategy—ensuring teams operate safely and in full compliance with legislation and internal standards. Job Description
  • Support and develop the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System, maintaining ISO14001 and ISO45001 accreditations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and internal corporate requirements.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of HSE manuals, safe systems of work, procedures, and documentation.
  • Provide advice, training, and support to staff and management on HSE matters.
  • Conduct and support incident, near miss, and accident investigations with follow-up actions and reports.
  • Deliver effective HSE inductions, risk assessments, and legal compliance checks.
  • Co-ordinate and implement corrective actions following audits and inspections.
  • Monitor environmental impact and drive energy reduction initiatives aligned with ISO14001 goals.
  • Represent the company in liaison with external bodies.
  • Support Facilities Management to ensure full legal compliance.
  • Provide monthly HSE metrics and insights to senior stakeholders across the business.
Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a health, safety and environmental role within a manufacturing or engineering setting.
  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO45001.
  • Proven experience conducting audits, assessments, and delivering HSE training.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels of a business.
  • Able to work autonomously and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • Commercially aware with a practical, hands-on approach to HSE.
