We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Contract Specialist to join a leading organisation in advanced engineering solutions. You will play a key role in securing new contracting opportunities, supporting program managers, and influencing strategic bid/no-bid decisions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong negotiation and risk management skills who enjoys working on high-value, complex contracts in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

  • Administer major and highly competitive contract requirements, including Basic Agreements and Long-Term Contracts
  • Analyse customer performance requirements, delivery schedules, pricing, and terms & conditions to ensure full compliance
  • Review and develop Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and prepare compliant, complex proposal packages
  • Support bid initiation by coordinating cross-functional input from across the business
  • Negotiate complex contract requirements, including price, terms, delivery schedules, and contract changes
  • Lead or support contract risk reviews and provide proactive recommendations to mitigate potential issues
  • Monitor contract performance, manage change control processes, and ensure efficient issue resolution
  • Act as a consultant to management on major contractual matters and mentor junior colleagues

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

  • Previous experience in contract administration, ideally within aerospace, defence, or engineering
  • Strong background in proposal development, contract negotiation, and risk management
  • Experience liaising directly with customers on complex contractual issues
  • University degree (or international equivalent) is ideal but not essential
