Our client is seeking a CAD/CAM Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in developing and optimising machining processes, supporting new product introduction, and improving manufacturing performance across a diverse range of precision-engineered components. As a CAD/CAM Engineer, you will be responsible for developing efficient CNC machining processes and supporting production from quotation through to manufacture. Working closely with engineering, production and quality teams, you will help deliver high-quality, cost-effective manufacturing solutions while driving continuous improvement initiatives. CAD/CAM Engineer Job Description Program complex 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC machining centres using CAD/CAM software. Develop and optimise machining strategies to improve productivity and reduce cycle times. Support new product introduction activities from quotation through to production. Select appropriate tooling, fixtures and cutting strategies to maximise efficiency. Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to minimise downtime. Work closely with production, quality and engineering teams to improve manufacturability and process capability. Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, setup sheets and work instructions. Identify and implement process improvements using lean manufacturing principles. Provide technical support and guidance to machinists and production personnel.
