Job Description Electrical Maintenance EngineerPermanent / or contract available. £55,000 – £59,500 including shift allowance 4 on 4 off – rotating days & nights Birmingham / Marston Green Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Job Description We are looking for experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join a major engineering and manufacturing site in Birmingham, specialising in the production of high-quality products for a range of specialist industries. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance. Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults across a range of industrial machinery, including furnaces, cranes and CNC machines. Read and interpret electrical drawings and carry out PLC fault finding. Monitor machinery performance, identify recurring issues and implement improvements. Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maintain equipment safely and effectively. Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Essential Skills / Experience / Qualifications Proven experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience. Confident reading electrical drawings – this is essential. PLC fault finding / ladder logic experience desirable. Comfortable working in an industrial environment, including working at heights and in confined spaces. Heavy engineering experience would be advantageous but is not essential. 55,000, including shift allowance, with up to £59,500 available for more experienced candidates. ~9% employee / 10% employer pension contributions. ~24 days holiday plus bank holidays. ~ Overtime at 1.5x for shift work and 2x on Sundays. ~ Training and development support. ~ Annual performance-related bonus of up to £1,000. ~ 4 on 4 off, rotating days and nights – 7am–7pm / 7pm–7am.
