Electrical Maintenance Engineer β Job Description
We are looking for experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join a major engineering and manufacturing site in Birmingham, specialising in the production of high-quality products for a range of specialist industries.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Diagnose faults across electrical and mechanical systems on industrial machinery, including furnaces, cranes and CNC machines.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and carry out electrical fault finding.
- Monitor machinery performance and identify recurring faults and improvements.
- Work closely with production teams to respond to breakdowns and minimise downtime.
Electrical Maintenance Engineer β Essential Skills / Experience / Qualifications
- Proven experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
- Confident reading electrical drawings β essential.
- PLC fault finding / ladder logic experience desirable.
- High Voltage experience desirable.
- ONC, HNC or City & Guilds qualification advantageous.
- Comfortable working in an industrial environment, including working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Heavy engineering experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

- 6-month contract
- Up to Β£30 per hour PAYE / Β£40 per hour Umbrella
- 4 on 4 off rotating days and nights.
- 7amβ7pm days / 7pmβ7am nights.
- Practical interview involving electrical drawing interpretation.
