CNC 5-Axis Machinist
Salary: £20–£24 per hour + shift uplift + overtime
Days / Nights / Weekend Shifts available
We’re looking for an experienced CNC 5-Axis Machinist to join a specialist manufacturer of high-performance composite components, supplying sectors including motorsport, F1, aerospace and defence.
Working within a busy machine shop and reporting to the Machine Shop Manager, you’ll be responsible for programming, setting and operating multi-axis CNC machines to produce complex, high-value components including moulds, inserts, fixtures and carbon components.
The Role
- Set and operate 5-axis CNC machines
- Program parts offline using CAM software – Visi experience is advantageous, but other CAM packages are considered
- Edit CNC programmes and produce complex, high-precision components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
- Troubleshoot machining issues and optimise processes
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and tool changes
About You
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, ideally with strong 5-axis experience
- Confident with setting, operating and CAM programming
- Strong understanding of machining processes and materials
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
