Our client, an award-winning agricultural machinery manufacturer, is looking for a Mechanical / Mechatronics Design Engineer to join their team and help develop the next generation of robust, field-ready machinery. You’ll work across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, seeing your designs progress from initial concepts and 3D models through to prototyping, validation and real-world agricultural use. Mechanical / Mechatronics Design Engineer Permanent Salary :Dependent on experience Working hours:Mon- Fri- 8:00am–5:15pm Location : Knutsford Mechanical / Mechatronics Design Engineer Job Description Design and develop agricultural machinery from initial concept through to commercial production. Produce detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks. Develop practical mechanical solutions, including machined components and fabrications, designed for demanding field conditions. Support the integration of hydraulic and electrical systems, including actuators, motors, sensors and control technologies. Support prototyping, testing, validation and ongoing product development. Mechanical / Mechatronics Design Engineer Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications 3+ years’ experience in machinery, mechanical or mechatronic system design. Strong SolidWorks 3D CAD Experience integrating mechanical systems with electrical components, sensors, actuators and controls. Good understanding of tolerances and manufacturing processes. Experience designing machined components and fabrications. Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering qualification, or equivalent industry experience. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Previous agricultural machinery experience would be advantageous.
