We are currently recruiting for an ambitious and motivated Trainee Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing team at the forefront of engineering technology. You will take ownership of the design process from concept through to final implementation, working alongside project teams, customers, and technical experts to create high-quality engineering solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to develop their mechanical design skills and work on innovative engineering projects across multiple industries.

Mon - Thurs 08:30am - 17:00pm & Fri - 08:30am - 16:00pm

Job Description- Design Functional Solutions: Solve engineering problems with innovative, practical designs.
- Full Design Lifecycle: Manage designs from initial concept and detailed specification through to the final working packs for the build team.
- Technical Drawings: Create accurate part and assembly drawings for manufacturing.
- Compliance: Ensure all designs meet relevant industry standards, including UKCA, CE, and Machinery Directive requirements.
- Mechanical Specifications: Develop comprehensive mechanical specifications for production equipment.
- Practical experience or strong knowledge of mechanical engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
- Understanding of traditional manufacturing processes like milling, turning, grinding, and fabrication.
- NVQ/HND/BTEC or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 25 days holiday plus the 8 bank holidays
