Ocean Winds (OW) is a 50:50 joint venture owned by EDP Renewables and ENGIE, created to develop, finance, build, and operate offshore wind farms around the world. Every day, OW delivers reliable and sustainable green energy through its growing global portfolio. Ocean Winds UK is looking for motivated university students or recent graduates, who are looking to gain valuable skills and knowledge in the Renewable Energy sector. As an Intern at Ocean Winds, you will have the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience, working with specialists in their field to develop yourself to your full potential. Our knowledgeable team is committed to creating a valuable Internship experience, where everyone has a voice and feels confident sharing ideas, enhancing creativity and innovation. We are offering Internship opportunities across multiple teams, and welcome applications from students from all degree backgrounds.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Shadowing colleagues with a variety of tasks, gaining an in‑depth understanding of the industry.
  • Supporting and/or leading on projects, making a significant business impact.
  • Learning valuable skills and knowledge, helping to jump‑start your career.

REQUIRED ACADEMIC SKILLS

  • On track for academic attainment in your Bachelors or Masters Degree.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and willing to learn.
  • Problem‑solving capabilities.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Passionate about the Renewable Energy sector.

LANGUAGES

Ocean Winds has an international team of employees, and the working language is English. Candidates need to be fluent in English both spoken and written. Other languages will be valued.

LOCATION / MOBILITY

Ocean Winds UK has offices in Edinburgh, Fraserburgh, and Buckie. Some travel may be required however this will be communicated to you during the interview process.

SALARY

Paid Internship

WORKING PATTERN

Full‑time (40 hours per week), and part‑time working will be considered.

INTERNSHIP DATES

June 2026 start date - up to 12 months contracts available.

OTHER

Applicants must have the legal Right to work in the UK; we are unable to sponsor employment visas for our Internships. Applications will close on Thursday 30th April 2026, but you may be contacted by the People team before that date. We are excited to receive your application!
