Ocean Winds (OW) is an international company dedicated to offshore wind energy and created as a 50-50 joint venture, owned by EDP Renewables and ENGIE. OW develops, finances, builds and operates offshore wind farm projects all around the world.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial documentation including FIDIC and LOGIC contracts, BIMCOs, supply agreements and confidentiality agreements.
  • Analysis of complex and legal commercial issues arising from contract negotiations and existing contractual relationships.
  • Managing and negotiating contractor claims.
  • Instructing and managing external counsel.
  • Advising on regulatory matters.
  • Assisting with general legal enquiries from the business.

REQUIRED ACADEMIC SKILLS

  • Degree in law required.
  • Must be Scots or English law qualified with up to 4 years PQE.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in commercial contracts is necessary.

RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

  • This role will not have any direct reports.
