We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Insurance Intern to join our team. This role provides a practical introduction to the insurance market within the offshore wind sector, offering the opportunity to support various functions—from risk assessment to claims management. This will be a 12-month paid internship running from June 2026 till June 2027.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assist in the insurance renewal process by auditing project-specific data, to verify that the sums insured accurately reflect the current status and valuation of the offshore assets.
- Support potential insurance claims by organising documentation, updating case files, and liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
- Update the insurance tracker by accurately logging policy schedules, premiums, and indemnity limits for the OW UK portfolio.
- Review individual project policies—including Construction All Risks (CAR) and Operational All Risks (OAR)—cross-referencing them against the wider programme to identify gaps in cover or misalignments with third-party requirements.
- Support the wider team with administrative tasks and special projects as required.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Currently studying for, or recently (no more than 6 months) graduated with an Undergraduate or master's degree in a related discipline.
KNOWLEDGE
Currently studying towards a degree in Business, Finance, Maths, Economics, or a related discipline with interest in insurance.
SKILLS
- Organized and efficient with an ability to prioritise.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment in a multi-disciplinary team across a number of specialist areas and organizational cultures.
- A self-starter with a proactive approach who is attentive to detail and has good written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate and build relationships across all levels of the project team.

Based in the Edinburgh office operating a hybrid work model in line with the Company's Remote Working Policy.
