Where you\’ll work
Depending on the needs of your business area, we expect hub based people to be in the office at least once a week, and to go to OVO Connection events in-person. You’ll be assigned to the closest one of our three hub offices, Bristol, Glasgow, or London; unless your role requires field-based work. Role purpose
This role will be varied in the types of projects including policy development, addressing root causes and gap reduction. It will involve strong stakeholder engagement, prepayment and Gap knowledge and relationship management. Key to the success will be working closely with other PODs and teams within OVO to champion meter performance and prioritise work.
Role in a nutshell
As the Revenue Assurance Optimisation Manager you will be responsible for a number of key projects focused on improving our PAYG Revenue Assurance position. You will play a critical role in delivering on our PAYG Gap targets, through managing end to end projects focused on both upstream impacts on Gap and the reduction of gaps itself. Your key outcomes will be:
- Be a PAYG and Revenue Assurance expert to support the wider business and understand how these processes impact our customers
- Work with tech teams to help develop system fixes and improvements which result in a positive impact in PAYG gap
- Be the key contact for PAYG Revenue Assurance issue management and ad-hoc queries
- Proactively identify revenue leakage risks through understanding PAYGO processes across OVO
- Help develop a wider PAYG policy for how we interact with our customers
- Manage ad hoc projects focused on improving our Revenue Assurance position
- Own all gap pots not worked by EXL in order to drive the reduction of these pots and overall improvement of Gap
- Be proactive in driving change, present findings, recommendations, and progress reports to senior management, advocating a culture of continuous improvement
- Set clear objectives, KPIs, and targets for project delivery ensuring a clear plan for delivery and alignment with OVO priorities
- Identify opportunities for improvement across the PAYG estate and prioritise based on customer and business impact
- Support the wider Revenue Assurance team (insights and process teams) in their activities
- Build relationships across OVO to enable buy-in to change and identification of issues
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, embracing innovative solutions, and promoting operational excellence across all teams
- Drive alignment on strategic initiatives by facilitating communication between technical teams, customer-facing teams, and senior leadership
- Lead, mentor, and support a wider variety of teams sitting with Infrastructure and Asset Maintenance
- Champion PAYG gap throughout OVO to raise awareness and create a sense of wider ownership
Successful PAYG Revenue Assurance Optimisation Manager at OVO
- Understand PAYG customers, end to end PAYG journey and PAYG processes to enable you to drive Gap value
- Understand Gap calculation and the root causes of gap within PAYG
- Analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make strategic decisions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Understanding of prepayment meter functionality, processes and revenue assurance for both trad and smart meters
- Experience working within a prepayment area, focused on revenue assurance activities
- Able to take ownership of problems in a pressurised Environment
- Excellent time management skills; able to effectively plan own and others\\\’ time
- Able to build trusting team environments that foster constructive debate without blame
- Able to make decisions and prioritise workloads
- Outstanding organisational, interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to help discussion, conflict resolution and decision making
- Support and educate business owners to build and maintain a prioritised backlog
- Ability to think strategically and to align asset management plans with OVO Energy\\\’s long-term objectives
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to innovate and optimize processes

We\\\’ll pay you between £45,770 and £60,000, depending on your specific skills and experience. We\\\’ll keep pay ranges broad on purpose to match experience to our zero carbon mission. You\\\’ll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We also offer green benefits and progressive policies to help you feel like you belong at OVO and there\\\’s flex pay. We\\\’ll give you 9% Flex Pay on top of your salary – 4% auto enrolled into your pension, remainder 5% is yours to use with flexible benefits, including our green benefits.
