Key Responsibilities:
- Support our customers and OVO onto the path of Zero Carbon by visiting our customers, offering amazing Customer Service, carrying out Smart installs, and providing fantastic energy efficiency.
- Report directly to the Metering Team Manager.
- Safely carry out smart metering installations and maintenance, ensuring fantastic customer service and energy efficiency.
- Work 42.5 hours per week; some travel may be required for training, team connections, and to support customer demand.
- Drive one of our EV vans for work purposes only.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, demonstrating sound decision-making skills.
- Act as a problem solver and take responsibility for your work, constantly driving positive outcomes.
Key Outcomes:
- Be a passionate advocate of OVO’s Plan Zero and energy efficiency, delivering the highest possible level of customer satisfaction.
- Engage with customers on the benefits of smart meters, including how to monitor and reduce their energy consumption.
- Develop with support and coaching from mentors and your Manager.
- Be responsible for the entire customer experience, ensuring you have the right materials stocked in your van, proactively communicating before visits, and utilizing strong technical skills to deliver exceptional service.
- Adapt working methods to install Smart metering systems in various customer environments and identify unsafe conditions to take appropriate actions.
- Collaborate with peers and colleagues while being flexible and responsive to deliver on our customers’ needs.
- Take ownership to work on your own initiative by regularly refreshing your knowledge and skills.
- Carry out risk assessments to ensure safety.
Preferred Experience:
- CCN1/CMA1 & MET1 or Level 2 Smart Meter Diploma.
- A minimum of 6 months experience as a Smart Energy Engineer / Dual Fuel Meter installer.
- Hold a current full manual driving license (with up to 6 points) valid in the UK.
- Strong desire to learn and develop, using creative thinking and adapting to new ways of working.
- Demonstrate key behaviours that align with our OVO values.
- Value different perspectives, skills, and experiences, creating an inclusive working culture.
- Comfortable talking to and helping customers in their homes.
- Great at multitasking and managing time effectively.
