Where you’ll work: At OVO, we understand that a one size fits all approach doesn’t work for everyone. That’s why we created the OVO Way of Flexibility. All our roles are hub based (Bristol, Glasgow or London), providing a dedicated space for collaboration, connection and teamwork. You’ll also have the flexibility to work from home.

Everyone belongs at OVO. At OVO, we are on a mission to solve one of humanity's biggest challenges, the climate crisis. And we know it takes all of us to change the world. That's why we need diverse people from all abilities, gender identities, ethnicities, ages, sexual orientations, life experiences and backgrounds to join us.

Teamworking for the planet: Everything we do here spins around Plan Zero. So, naturally, the team you’ll be joining plays a gigantic role in making that happen. Here’s how: We've made real progress on the UK's path to net zero - but there's further to go. Renewable energy tariffs alone won't make the grid greener. We need to help customers save energy, shift when they use it, and reduce their carbon footprint in every way we can. That's where OVO Drive comes in. We're the dedicated EV business within OVO, providing everything a driver needs: home charger installation, home and public charging access, and a single app that ties it all together. We operate with a start-up mindset - moving fast, trying new things, and scaling what works.

This role in a nutshell: This is a senior leadership position within OVO Drive, covering a 12-month maternity leave. We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and take full ownership of the EV charger installation business - its P&L, strategy, pricing, and end-to-end customer journey up to the point of physical installation.

Your key outcomes will be:

  • Own the strategy for the EV charger installation business — what we sell, how we sell it, and at what price
  • Drive commercial performance through full P&L ownership
  • Lead the OVO Drive budgeting process in consultation with c-suite stakeholders
  • Build and manage strategic and commercial partnerships to grow OVO Drive's market share and reputation
  • Lead the technical design survey team, ensuring quality and consistency ahead of field installation
  • Actively improve conversion rates through digital sales funnels, working closely with our internal Product and Tech teams, and external partners
  • Own all supplier relationships — including contractual negotiations with hardware partners and ongoing account management
  • Act as the primary commercial interface for field services
  • Work closely with marketing, procurement, legal, and compliance to bring propositions to market effectively
  • Maintain rigorous reporting on commercial performance, and use data and market insight to inform strategy
  • Collaborate with wider Drive stakeholders to maximise opportunity for cross-sell to other EV products

You’ll be successful in this role if you have:

  • Strategic thinking and strong commercial acumen, with a genuine eye for opportunity
  • Sound understanding of P&L management, unit economics, and margin
  • Experience building and maintaining budget models and performance reports
  • The ability to monitor competitors and market dynamics and translate that into action
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills — comfortable operating with large partners and senior internal audiences
  • Experience in energy retail, digital e-commerce, or low carbon technologies (not all three required)
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects at pace, without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • People leadership skills, with the ability to motivate at different levels

Let’s talk about what’s in it for you:

We’ll pay you between £59,690 and £75,000, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us! We keep our pay ranges broad on purpose to give us, and you, flexibility to match your experience to our zero carbon mission. You’ll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We have one OVO bonus plan that focuses on the collective performance of our people to deliver our Plan Zero goal.

We also offer plenty of green benefits and progressive policies to help you feel like you belong at OVO…and there’s flex pay. We'll give you 9% Flex Pay on top of your salary – 4% of this is auto enrolled into your pension, and the remaining 5% is yours to do what you like with. You can use this to buy from our extensive range of flexible benefits, including our green benefits which we've put at the heart of our offering, add to your pension or even take it as cash.

Here’s a taster of what’s on offer:

  • For starters, you’ll get 34 days of holiday (including bank holidays).
  • For your health: With benefits like a healthcare cash plan or private medical insurance depending on your career level, critical illness cover, life assurance, health assessments, and more.
  • For your wellbeing: With gym membership, travel insurance, workplace ISA, will writing services, dental insurance, and more.
