- The Performance and Insight team exists to provide greater understanding of our operational performance, improve the accuracy and accessibility of data, and adapt quickly to our changing operational and technical environment.

- Through great Data Governance, we make it easier to find and understand our performance data by implementing great data governance ensuring that data is managed systematically so it can be used efficiently, securely, and is accessible to those who need it.
- Easier to understand performance data: We create simple to understand MI against a set of visual standards, we work with each part of our business to educate our teams on how to spend the least amount of time finding the data vs investing their time in making the right decisions based on what the data tell us.
- Understanding the work: We have a complex business and we architect MI to bring to light how we perform end-to-end showing what are the key drivers of work and where bottlenecks exist in the system.

This role in a nutshell: An exciting opportunity in this new role you will be helping OVO understand itself end-to-end. By building MI that helps us understand how work flows across different departments you will identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and opportunities for improvement. You’ll play a pivotal role in defining the key metrics that impact our performance and build MI to give early warning when these metrics are underperforming.

Within this role you will get to marry your skills in analytics and data management to drive solutions to our biggest data and insight gaps and problems, creating best in class service for our customers.
Your key outcomes will be:
- Conduct comprehensive analysis and mapping of workflows across different departments to identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain a set of performance indicators that accurately reflect the efficiency and effectiveness of interdepartmental workflows.
- Create and refine management information (MI) systems that provide clear, actionable insights through data visualisation.
- Construct compelling narratives based on data analysis to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Engage with leaders and stakeholders across the organisation to drive data-driven decision-making and operational improvements.
- Answer simple questions that require us to bring together cross-functional datasets.
- Participate in cross-functional teams analysis to further understand improvement of our CLV model.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Partner with resourcing to produce the right data model to forecast end-to-end workflows.
- Partner with cross-functional groups to support the necessary improvements to solve issues, create value, maximise growth, and improve business performance.
- Enhance the analytical capabilities of the organisation by providing training and support to staff on data analysis and interpretation.
You’ll be able to perform analytical deep dives on business issues to identify drivers and trends, extract insight from data and clearly explain their meaning. You’ll be fluent in statistical methodology and tools and have the relevant experience to undertake complex analytical queries. Knowledge of predictive analytics tools is desirable and knowledge and experience of using SQL essential. You should be comfortable working in an operational database environment as well as within an environment of significant business change. Experience of using visual management aids such as developing dashboards using Tableau or Google data studio and working within a fast-paced change focused environment would be beneficial.

We’ll pay you between £45,770 and £55,000, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us! We keep our pay ranges broad on purpose to give us, and you, flexibility to match your experience to our zero carbon mission. You’ll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We have one OVO bonus plan that focuses on the collective performance of our people to deliver our Plan Zero goal.
