Here’s how: We’re working to build and optimise credit risk and collections capability at OVO, with a particular emphasis on reducing the bad debt charge and delivering good customer outcomes.
This role in a nutshell: Extremely exciting opportunity to work in a major, progressive utilities business working across credit risk and collections, where you will be able to make a real difference for customers. As a Credit Risk Analyst in the Customer Balances you will be responsible for the effective management of key debt prevention strategies, processes, analytics and MI which underpin the Collections operation, allowing it to function, manage risk and drive reductions to debt balances whilst increasing revenue.
You’ll be working collaboratively with team members across customer balances and the wider business to provide data and insight that supports decision making in our credit risk and collections landscapes to improve our business performance and customer outcomes.
Your key outcomes will be:
- Providing insight and recommendations to drive the department strategy to optimise revenue performance.
- Assess trends and performance against targets and key performance indicators.
- Develop and implement user friendly reports which support performance analysis & decision making, ensuring a high standard of accuracy.
- Commercial modelling, creating cost/benefit analysis of proposed actions and outcomes.
- Reduce manual effort through automation.
- Working with third-parties to improve decision strategies, tracing solutions and customer risk profiling.
You’ll be a successful Credit Risk Analyst here at OVO if you…
- Have excellent SQL skills as these are necessary for the role, and familiarity with Big Query as an analytics platform is desirable.
- Have proven experience in a similar data or analytical role.
- Are curious with strong problem solving skills.
- Can confidently build and present meaningful data visualisations, in Excel/Sheets and ideally a dashboarding platform such as Tableau.
- Can interpret graphical representations of data, draw conclusions and make recommendations.
- Have experience in cloud data services such as Google Cloud Platform.
- Have statistical knowledge including sampling, significance, hypothesis testing and basic probability theory.
- Are highly numerate & analytical, able to delve into the detail but understand the strategic view.
- Can document and version control your work so others can pick it up and build on it.
- Have proven track record to engage productively with internal and external collaborators.
- Have experience of working in a fast paced environment where prioritisation is required.
- Have excellent presentation and communication skills - able to articulate results clearly and concisely to senior team members.
- Are confident programming for analytics such as in Python or R.
- Have an understanding of basic programming principles such as names, types, lists, arrays, control flow, exceptions.
Let’s talk about what’s in it for you. We’ll pay you between £38,000 and £50,000, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us!
