This position collaborates closely with:

  • Clinical Leads and Team Managers across treatment and prevention pathways
  • Heads of Clinical Delivery for peer support and cross‑functional collaboration
  • Product and Engineering Teams to support digital‑first care models
  • BI, Finance, and Legal to ensure services are data‑driven, cost‑efficient, and audit‑ready
  • People Team for workforce planning and team development
  • Country Lead to ensure service models are aligned with local delivery needs

The Director of Clinical Delivery leads the operational delivery and improvement of Oviva’s treatment and prevention pathways in the UK that sit outside of Oviva Clinic UK. As a senior operational leader, this role focuses on ensuring high‑quality patient care, strong governance, reaching KPI targets, financial sustainability, and people development within a defined service domain.

Working closely with the VP of Operations, the Director of Clinical Delivery ensures development, implementation and execution of strategic OKRs through expert functional leadership and effective cross‑functional collaboration. This role plays a key part in supporting Oviva’s mission to build a healthier future for all by delivering scalable, evidence‑based care to people living with weight‑related conditions. The Director of Clinical Delivery ensures that digital‑first clinical services reach those who need them most, improving health outcomes at scale.

This role is designed for a service delivery leader with strong clinical operations expertise, looking to expand toward broader strategic and business leadership within Oviva’s future senior talent pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a strong leadership team by empowering team managers with autonomy, accountability, and strategic clarity.
  • Provide high‑quality coaching and mentorship to help them grow as confident decision‑makers and operational leaders.
  • Foster a cohesive, mission‑driven leadership culture that aligns with Oviva's long‑term goals, supports succession planning, and enables sustainable evolution of Core services.
  • Translate strategic objectives into operational plans across treatment and prevention pathways, ensuring alignment with Oviva’s mission, regulatory standards, and financial targets.
  • Own functional KPIs and budget delivery, working closely with Finance and BI to proactively address risks, optimise performance, and identify opportunities for cost‑effective scaling.
  • Shape and embed data‑informed governance frameworks to ensure clinical quality, safety, and continuous improvement across treatment and prevention pathways.
  • Act as a senior partner to Product, Engineering, and Tech Ops teams to influence roadmaps, ensuring digital tools align with the evolving needs of clinical delivery and patient experience.
  • Drive innovation within treatment and prevention pathways, identifying scalable improvements and leading pilots to validate and implement new service models.
  • Contribute to cross‑functional leadership forums, representing the voice of treatment and prevention services and helping to shape strategic priorities through data and delivery‑led insights.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Strong track record in leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Operational and commercial acumen, with experience managing team budgets or functional P&L.
  • Familiarity with clinical governance, safeguarding, and UK compliance standards.
  • Experience with data‑informed decision‑making and KPI tracking.
  • Skilled in team development, change management, and problem‑solving.
  • Leads with humility, applies smart solutions, and is driven to improve outcomes and experiences.
  • Experience in digital health service delivery or tech‑enabled care models.
  • Experience in a regulated healthcare environment.
  • Exposure to NHS contracting and stakeholder management.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Training or significant experience in healthcare operations or service transformation.
  • Evidence of continuous leadership and personal development.

Key Success Measures

  • Meets or exceeds clinical, operational, and financial KPIs (e.g., patient throughput, cost per case, compliance pass rate).
  • Demonstrates strong people leadership and contributes to a positive team culture (e.g., engagement, retention).
