Lead evidence-based innovation in digital obesity care. We’re seeking a Clinical Lead Psychologist to shape and optimise the psychology pathway in our Tier 3 UK services. This is a strategic, non-patient-facing role focused on applying behavioural science and clinical insight to build scalable, impactful care interventions across Oviva’s digital health ecosystem. This role can be remote and/or hybrid in London office.
Why Oviva? At Oviva, we’re on a mission to make sustainable, personalized, clinically effective care accessible to everyone and to deliver against our vision of becoming Europe’s leading AI-powered chronic care platform. Our digital programmes support people living with weight related illnesses. While weight loss is a goal for many, our approach is about so much more: improving health, building confidence, and enhancing quality of life. We’ve already supported over one million people across the UK, Switzerland, and Germany, with a shared service centre in Poland. Every conversation, coaching session, and line of code helps move us closer to a healthier future. Join us and be part of the team making that future possible.
The role: As Clinical Lead Psychologist, you’ll lead the design and continuous improvement of our Tier 3 psychology pathway. You’ll apply frameworks such as COM-B and Behaviour Change Techniques (BCT) to create digital-first care models that deliver the right support at the right time. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams—Pathway Leads, Clinical Dietetic and Medical Leads, Product, Data, and Governance—to ensure services are evidence-based, scalable, and outcome-driven. This role does not involve direct patient care or clinical supervision, but strong clinical insight is essential.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and optimise the Tier 3 psychology pathway to improve clinical effectiveness, patient engagement, and service KPIs.
- Design scalable, evidence-based digital interventions using clinical psychology and behavioural science frameworks (e.g., COM-B, BCT).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align service delivery with patient needs and clinical outcomes.
- Define and enhance triage processes to ensure appropriate, timely care across clinical disciplines.
- Provide behavioural science and psychology expertise to support integrated pathway design.
- Use data insights to evaluate, iterate, and improve pathway performance.
- Ensure services meet Oviva’s clinical governance and digital care design standards.
About You: Proven experience in applying clinical psychology principles to design and optimise care pathways, integrating behavioural science frameworks (e.g., COM-B) to improve patient outcomes. Extensive experience in weight management, bariatrics, or related health settings, with an understanding of psychological factors influencing outcomes. Strong stakeholder management and leadership in multidisciplinary environments. Strategic thinker with the ability to apply clinical psychology to service design. Proficiency in interpreting and acting on performance data. Experience working in or designing digital health services. Familiarity with regulated healthcare environments. Track record of published or presented work in behaviour change and digital interventions.
Education & Qualifications: HCPC Registered Clinical Psychologist (Doctorate-level qualification). Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in relevant clinical settings. Evidence of ongoing CPD related to behavioural science, service design, or digital health. BPS Chartered Status preferred.
What we offer: A mission-driven environment focused on making a real-world impact. High-growth opportunities with a clear path to broader strategic leadership. A flexible remote/hybrid work culture across the UK, Germany, Switzerland and Poland. Annual learning & development budget. Home working allowance and flexible working hours. Competitive compensation, benefits, and inclusive policies (enhanced leave, etc.).
