About us
Oviva is on a mission to help people achieve better health for good. By blending behavioural change therapy with our unique technology, our incredible team of passionate individuals, and innovative company culture, we are creating affordable and accessible app-based programmes to tackle diet-related health conditions such as obesity, diabetes, and nutrition.
Our proven go-to-market strategy has helped us become the largest award-winning digital health provider treating diet & lifestyle conditions. We operate within the healthcare systems to give people access to the medical care they need. We are rapidly expanding in the UK, Switzerland, Germany, and France. You will be joining a Europe-wide organisation that has treated over 280,000 people to date, is doubling in size year after year, and has recently raised $80m USD in its Series C funding round from leading global digital health investors.
Having a culture that people want to work in is very important to us and we’re proud to say most of our team members would recommend working for Oviva. We do this by keeping our values at the forefront of everything we do, from patient care to internal culture: We put the patient first, We measure & improve, We tackle it together.
Job responsibilities
Our goal is a healthier future for everyone. That’s why we help people with weight-related illnesses through the most accessible and effective therapy. We offer digital programmes designed to support people with weight-related conditions, including obesity, prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, and hypertension. While weight loss is the main goal for many of the people we support, our approach isn’t just about the numbers on the scales; it’s about improving your health, self-confidence, and quality of life.
The role involves providing a specialist Tier 3 weight management service for people living with complex obesity and requires a psychological wellbeing practitioner (PWP) to grow our current psychology team. You will work alongside the psychology and dietetics teams, delivering a service incorporating a mixed clinical approach.
The psychology service provides psychological therapy to participants, aiding motivation and success towards their weight management goals. You will use technology, such as our Oviva app and telephone coaching, to provide care remotely and monitor/review patients' progress in collaboration with the MDT. You will apply theoretical principles from CBT and ACT.
Whilst it is important to work autonomously in a weight management setting, you will receive comprehensive training and have access to clinical supervision and support from the Clinical Lead for Psychology or another psychologist in the team.
