Ovia has an exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Manager for the South Coast Central region (postcodes BN, RH, PO, SO, RG, SL, GU). This is an all‑round management position with responsibility for Domestic, Industrial, Commercial and emergency lighting range, selling directly into electrical wholesalers. A focused, energetic and extremely passionate sales person with an attitude driven for success will be best placed within this role.
You will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key accounts and developing new business within an assigned geographic position, and developing relationships with local electrical contractors to help create the push/pull model.
Responsibilities:- Territory sales role selling all of the Ovia Ltd products into distributors within the designated sales area (Push/Pull role).
- Sales out activity by way of pro‑active support to local contractors aligned to our distributors, including:
- Joint sales calls
- Trade counter mornings
- Local ECA branch meetings
- Product training, etc.
- Identify sales opportunities with both existing and new accounts and strategically develop those opportunities within the set parameters of Ovia's commercial trading philosophy.
- Responsible for own work schedule and administration and adherence to company policies (e.g. expenses, etc.).
- Use the right tools, at the right time and with the right customers in order to get the best possible result.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with electrical distributors and electrical contractors.
- Manage existing accounts to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- A full and preferably clean driving licence is a must.
- Computer literate with the ability to use Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.
- Focussed on being able to identify opportunities with both existing and new accounts and be able to strategically develop those opportunities within the set parameters of Scolmore's commercial trading philosophy.
