Scolmore have an exciting opportunity for a Group Key Accounts and Specification Manager for the South West and South Wales to join our external sales team. The role is responsible for demand creation across Scolmore Group companies’ portfolio within the residential and commercial sectors, focusing on Clients, M & E Consultants, Specifiers, large regional and national electrical contractors, local authority, and housing associations across the South-West & South Wales.
Main Duties Include:
- Focus on demand creation with Clients, M & E Consultants, Specifiers, large regional and national electrical contractors, local authority, and housing associations across the South-West & South Wales.
- Collaborate closely with direct team colleagues, ASM’s and internal teams to ensure this work supports the set parameters of Scolmore’s commercial trading philosophy.
- Build strong working relationships within the target market in the South West & South Wales, promoting and generating demand across the Scolmore Group offering.
- Provide product demonstrations and presentations on Scolmore Group products promoting solutions, company vision and values, and all services the company offers.
- Support the Area Sales Managers to develop sales opportunities with specific contractors / end users where necessary.
- Maintain accurate customer records.
- Ensure knowledge of products continues to be up to date.
- Maintain knowledge on market trends and competitors’ products.
- Conduct all administration activities within the role, including ensuring that the Outlook Calendar / CRM is updated daily.
Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrable history in specification sales and demand creation.
- Proven history in sales.
- Ability to build rapport.
- Good organisation and diligence skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Confident with Microsoft Office packages.
- Able to problem-solve efficiently.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to pitch a sales-based solution.
- A full clean driving licence.
- Previous experience in a Key Accounts/Specification-based role is essential.
- Demonstratable relationships with target customers in the South-West & South Wales areas would be beneficial.

- This role will require regular/daily traveling within the UK (occasional overnight stays).
