For a client, we are looking for an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to join a high-performing technology team delivering scalable, secure, and automated cloud platform solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong AWS, automation, and infrastructure expertise to help drive engineering excellence across a complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and optimise scalable cloud platform solutions within AWS environments
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable secure and efficient software delivery
- Work closely with engineering, infrastructure, and product teams to implement robust platform solutions
- Contribute technical expertise into wider architecture and engineering strategy discussions
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system reliability, performance, and operational efficiency
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and infrastructure policies
Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience as a Senior Platform Engineer or similar DevOps/Infrastructure role
- Strong AWS experience across services such as EC2, API Gateway, NLB, ASG, and related cloud technologies
- Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools including CloudFormation or Terraform
- Strong experience with Jenkins pipelines, multibranch deployments, and Groovy scripting
- Experience with GitHub Actions, scripting, and automation tooling
- Strong understanding of Docker and Kubernetes container technologies
- Solid Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Chef configuration management and debugging
- Python scripting experience for automation and operational tasks
- Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, architects, product managers, analysts, and infrastructure teams
