We are searching on behalf of our client for this role. An innovative technology business transforming the healthcare sector through AI-powered automation is looking for a Head of Technology to lead its product and engineering function. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the entire product development lifecycle, from idea and design through to delivery and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall technology strategy and product development function.
  • Manage the full software development lifecycle, from discovery and design through to deployment and iteration.
  • Work closely with product, design and commercial teams to define product roadmaps and priorities.
  • Build, mentor and develop a high-performing engineering team and foster a collaborative engineering culture.
  • Oversee software architecture, engineering standards, security and scalability.
  • Drive Agile delivery processes and ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Balance technical excellence with commercial priorities and customer needs.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage modern technologies, including AI and automation, to improve products and internal processes.

Your Profile

  • Proven experience leading engineering or technology teams within a software or SaaS environment.
  • Strong understanding of modern software development practices, cloud technologies and product delivery.
  • Experience overseeing product design, architecture and engineering functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining delivery quality.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A proactive, hardworking and dynamic leadership style with a willingness to be hands-on when required.
  • Experience within healthcare, HealthTech or other regulated industries would be highly advantageous.
  • Passion for building products that solve real customer problems.
