We are currently looking for an Energy & Sustainability Officer to join The Sovini Group. This position is a Fixed Term Contract for 18 months. As an Energy & Sustainability Officer, you will be expected to:

  • Be a key member of the Asset Management team, responsible for collecting, analysing and managing the energy performance data within the Asset Management Systems.
  • Be responsible for the data integrity and quality assurance of all energy related data.
  • Assist the Energy & Sustainability Manager with funding bids for retrofit programmes to improve the energy performance of the Groups portfolio.
  • Be line management responsible for the Energy Administrator.
  • Commit to the CIH 7 Professional Standards of Conduct in your day-to-day activities.
  • Commit to equality and diversity and promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
  • Adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.

ESSENTIALS

To be successful in an Energy & Sustainability Officer role, the skills you will need:

  • Experience of using bespoke asset management software, ICT systems and the ability to adapt quickly to new software.
  • Experience of working with large volumes of data from various systems and manipulating this data.
  • Experience of working with energy efficiency data and energy calculations within asset management systems.
  • Experience of working with Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) data and Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP), validating both sets of data along with stock condition data.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency within the housing sector, relevant regulations and the data associated with this.
  • Ability to identify weaknesses in data sets and create a plan to improve.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise, manage multiple tasks and meet required deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, possessing the ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the Organisation across multiple communication channels including Teams and face-to-face.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Ability to work in an agile working environment.
  • Team player with the ability to work off own initiative.
  • An understanding of the funding available to the housing sector and the requirements needed for a successful funding bid.

Experience or Knowledge of the below would be advantageous but not essential:

  • Ofqual regulated CIH (3,5,7) Qualification or the commitment to work towards.
  • Recognised qualification in team leadership/management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, partners and external bodies.
