Hi there, we’re Overthrow. Pleased to meet you. We’re a small, independent agency specializing in SEO-led content marketing. We’re looking for an experienced (2+ years) SEO Account Manager to join our team.
A little about us: Overthrow is three years old and growing up fast. We have great clients (primarily Y-Combinator founders and their startups) ready for you to manage and grow. We’re also quite nice to work with. We have big growth plans for this year and beyond, and you’ll be a core member of the team from your first day.
A little about you: You’re a bachelor-level graduate in marketing or a related field. You live and work in the UK. You’ve been working agency-side for a minimum of 2 years and have experience taking full ownership of growing SEO for multiple client accounts. You’re an SEO specialist, competent across all key areas (technical, content, link-building, GEO) who still loves getting into the weeds on client campaigns and doing the real, impactful work every day. You’re inquisitive, communicative, and enjoy learning by doing. You’re an experienced marketer well-versed in both the strategic and practical sides of content marketing.
A little about the role: You’ll be working with the support of the co-founders and our small team of experienced specialists, and will be fully responsible for a number of key client accounts. This is a client facing role, and you’ll need to be comfortable explaining SEO concepts to non-technical people. You’ll develop quickly professionally and within a short period of time we expect you’ll be building your own team. While managing client accounts you’ll also be helping us define and refine our systems and processes and further develop our industry-leading offering.
A little about working remotely: Overthrow is fully remote and we currently work from the UK, US, Australia, and South Korea. All clients are currently based in the US. Timezones can be a juggle, and you will need to take a couple of early or late calls each week. Generally speaking, you’ll be able to manage most of your work asynchronously and you get to choose when you work. You’ll get 5 weeks holiday a year, plus all UK public holidays.
How to apply: Let us know about your SEO experience and why you’d like to work for a small, fast-paced agency. We’ll get back to you asap. If you move to the interview round, you can expect a small take-home assignment along with a few calls with founders.
