Assembly Technician As part of our continued expansion, Overlander Vehicles is looking for experienced Assembly Technicians to join our production team in Antrim.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing specialist vehicle manufacturing business.
The role would suit an enthusiastic, practically minded individual who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys working as part of a skilled production team.
The Role Principal Accountabilities Read, understand and follow technical drawings and build procedures.
Ensure all work is carried out to our internal quality standards.
Use hand and air tools to a high level of skill.
Safely operate cutting equipment.
Carry out cutting, drilling and riveting as part of the assembly process.
Assemble and fit a range of materials to vehicles, including fibreglass, aluminium, steel and plastics.
Install components and assemblies throughout the vehicle production process.
Identify areas where the product or manufacturing process can be improved.
Adhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental rules and regulations.
Take responsibility for good housekeeping, cleanliness and maintaining high standards within your work area.
Reduce wastage by using raw materials and consumable items carefully and as specified.
Participate in continuous improvement activities.
Work as part of the wider production team to achieve required quality, output and delivery targets.
Carry out other duties as required.
Essential Experience Minimum of 3 years' experience in an assembly, manufacturing, vehicle conversion or similar hands-on role.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Ability to follow written instructions and build procedures.
Experience using hand, air and power tools.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work well under pressure and to time-critical deadlines.
Strong team-working skills.
Takes pride in their work and ensures work is completed to a high standard.
Enthusiastic and adaptable, with the ability to work across a variety of tasks.
Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
