Location: Antrim & Naas / Field Based Territory: Northern Ireland & Republic of Ireland Reporting to: Head of Sales THE OPPORTUNITY Overlander is looking for an ambitious, commercially driven Area Sales Executive to take ownership of sales growth across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. This is a high-autonomy, field-based role for someone who enjoys being out in the market, building relationships, finding opportunities and winning business. You will have the freedom to develop your territory, identify new markets and create your own opportunities across Overlander's growing range of specialist vehicles. From equestrian and welfare vehicles to utility, passenger transport and medical applications, you will work with customers across a diverse range of sectors and help them find the right vehicle and commercial solution for their operation. You will be based between our Antrim and Naas operations, but your real office will be the marketplace. The role involves extensive travel throughout NI and ROI, meeting customers, visiting sites, demonstrating vehicles, developing relationships and turning opportunities into orders. This is an opportunity to build something of your own within a growing specialist vehicle business. THE MARKETS You will develop opportunities across a broad and varied customer base, including: Equestrian Horsebox sales, contract hire, rental and fleet solutions for private, professional and commercial equestrian customers. Welfare & Commercial Vehicles Welfare vans, mobile site facilities, crew vans and specialist commercial vehicle conversions for construction, infrastructure, telecoms, utilities, facilities management, rental and fleet operators. Utility & Specialist Fleets Purpose-built vehicles for utilities, highways, telecoms, engineering, infrastructure and other specialist fleet applications. Passenger Transport Minibuses, accessible transport and specialist passenger vehicles for private operators, community transport, education, healthcare and public-sector organisations. Medical & Ambulance Ambulances, patient transport, medical vehicles and other specialist healthcare applications. WHAT YOU'LL DO Build the Territory Take ownership of the NI and ROI market. Identify target customers, sectors and fleets, develop relationships with decision-makers and build a strong pipeline of new business. Win New Customers Generate your own opportunities rather than relying on inbound enquiries. Open doors, create relationships and turn prospects into long-term customers. Get Close to Customers Spend your time where it matters in front of customers. Visit sites, understand their operations, identify upcoming requirements and develop solutions that deliver genuine value. Develop New Markets & Routes to Market Look beyond traditional sales channels and identify opportunities through fleet operators, rental companies, dealers, end users, procurement frameworks and other strategic partners. Sell Solutions, Not Just Vehicles Understand each customer's requirements and match them to the right Overlander product and commercial model, whether that means outright purchase, contract hire, long-term rental or short-term rental. Demonstrate the Product Bring Overlander's vehicles directly to customers through demonstrations, trials and site visits. Help customers see how the right vehicle can solve a real operational requirement. Grow Existing Accounts Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and identify future replacement cycles, additional vehicles and opportunities to introduce other products across the Overlander range. Own Your Pipeline Maintain a clear view of your opportunities, from initial prospect through to quotation and order. Use CRM to manage your pipeline, priorities and customer relationships effectively. Understand the Market Stay close to customers and competitors and develop a strong understanding of market trends, procurement routes, fleet replacement cycles and emerging opportunities. Work as Part of the Team Work closely with the Head of Sales and the wider Antrim and Naas teams to turn customer requirements into well-specified, commercially strong vehicle solutions and successful deliveries. HOW YOU'LL WORK This is not an office-based sales role. You will have the autonomy to plan and manage your territory, decide where to focus your time and build your own approach to winning business. Time at Antrim and Naas will support your success through product knowledge, vehicle demonstrations, sales planning and collaboration with the wider team, but the majority of your time will be spent out developing the business. THE PERSON We're looking for someone with drive, commercial instinct and a genuine appetite to win new business. You'll ideally have experience in field sales within automotive, commercial vehicles, fleet, plant, equipment, rental or another B2B environment. However, we're more interested in your ability to build relationships, identify opportunities and close business than simply the sector you've worked in. You'll be someone who: Enjoys finding and winning new business. Is confident opening doors and building relationships from scratch. Has strong commercial awareness and the confidence to negotiate and close. Is comfortable selling technical or specialist products and understanding customer requirements. Works independently and takes ownership of their territory. Is organised, commercially disciplined and able to manage a healthy sales pipeline. Enjoys being on the road and meeting customers face-to-face. Has the ambition to develop new markets and grow a territory.
