The Assistant Ecommerce Merchandiser / Stock Planner supports the day-to-day trading, stock management, and performance analysis of the footwear ecommerce category. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role suited to someone early in their merchandising or planning career who is looking to build strong foundations in ecommerce trading, forecasting, and stock management within a fashion footwear environment. The role works closely with the Senior Ecommerce Merchandiser & Stock Planner and supports the delivery of sales, margin, and stock targets through accurate reporting, stock actions, and trading support.

Core Responsibilities:
- Ecommerce Trading Support
- Support day-to-day ecommerce trading for the footwear category
- Maintain product availability and ensure accurate pricing online
- Support execution of promotions, markdowns, and clearance activity
- Monitor daily performance and flag risks or opportunities
- Support product launches and seasonal drops
- Stock Management & Planning Support
- Support stock planning and forecasting at style and size level
- Monitor sell-through, size availability, and weeks of cover
- Assist with intake tracking, replenishment, and allocation tasks
- Maintain stock trackers and planning tools (including WSSI support)
- Support markdown and exit processes
- Reporting & Analysis
- Produce daily and weekly trading and stock reports
- Maintain performance trackers and dashboards
- Support analysis of size curves, best sellers, and slow movers
- Help prepare insight for weekly trade and forecasting meetings
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports
- Ways of Working & Process
- Follow established trading and planning processes
- Support continuous improvement of tools and ways of working
- Work closely with the Senior to ensure priorities are delivered on time
- Develop strong understanding of ecommerce KPIs and stock metrics
Key Skills & Experience:
- Essential:
- Experience in an ecommerce merchandising, planning, or trading role (or strong internship/graduate experience)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, basic modelling)
- Interest in fashion and footwear retail
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Desirable:
- Experience working with size-level stock
- Exposure to ecommerce platforms or stock systems
- Experience supporting promotions or peak trading periods
- Retail or DTC fashion experience
