Ovation Finance is an award winning, employee‑owned financial planning firm. We help clients accumulate life, not just wealth, and we believe deeply in doing the right thing. A simple test guides everything we do: Would you advise your Mum to do that? We are a warm and welcoming team who have created a harmonious, approachable and easy‑going environment. We trust each other to get the job done which brings pride, ownership and long‑term thinking. We are also proud to be a certified B Corp, meaning strong ethics, sustainability and social impact are not optional extras, they are core to how we operate.
The role involves taking on responsibility for an existing group of clients, with further client transfers happening gradually over a two to three year period. This is designed to provide continuity for clients and to relieve pressure on existing advisers. You will contribute to the ongoing growth of Ovation through firm generated opportunities, referrals and networking without self‑generation targets.
As an employee‑owned B Corp, contribution at Ovation goes beyond your own client bank. Everyone is expected to help improve the business, but always in ways that align with their interests and strengths. Strong ethical alignment is essential. We care deeply about doing the right thing for clients, colleagues and society, and we are looking for someone who shares those values.
This is a hybrid role. You will work from our Bristol office one day per week on Mondays, with the remainder of your time worked flexibly, generally from home. We care about your personal life and want to ensure our employees have the right work life balance. Family comes first which means we provide flexibility to fit around your family. We also offer full paternity and enhanced maternity pay.
Salary and benefits:
- Salary £50,000 to £70,000 depending on experience
- Non‑contributory pension scheme with an employer contribution
- Employee Ownership Trust profit share
- Death in service cover of six times salary
- Full salary sick pay for six months
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service up to 30 days
- Private medical insurance after probationary period
- Enhanced maternity and full paternity pay
What we are looking for:
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
- Progress towards Level 6 and Chartered status
- Experience advising clients and managing client relationships
- Confidence to take over and manage existing clients
- A desire to find a long‑term professional home
- An interest in contributing beyond your own client work
- Strong ethical values and alignment with B Corp principles
Having a small existing client bank to bring with you is welcome but not essential. You are comfortable building and maintaining relationships across the Bristol area and attending in person events where appropriate.
Ovation Finance is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and aim to create an environment where everyone feels respected, supported and able to thrive.
