To enable this, we need team members who fully live our OneTeam value which is at the heart of everything we do at Ovarro. We are now looking to hire a Principal Electronics and Hardware Engineer who will take responsibility for electrical and electronic design of new products and modification of existing products across different product lines.
You will add impact at Ovarro by:
- Proactively handle maintenance tasks, such as managing obsolescence, component updates, certification maintenance, and schematic or circuit modifications to ensure sustained product reliability and compliance.
- Technically lead end-to-end hardware development including electronics design projects from concept to production, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Perform detailed circuit design, analysis, and optimization involving analog, digital, and mixed-signal systems.
- Take ownership of all test rigs, test benches, and test equipment across all product lines, keep related documentation up to date, and provide technical support and maintenance when needed.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to colleagues while remaining deeply involved in technical tasks.
- Foster deep cross-functional collaboration with software, firmware, mechanical engineers and contractors, as well as other cross-functional teams for seamless hardware integration.
- Take ownership of design reviews, validation, and verification tests, ensuring high-quality and reliable product performance.
- Oversee and contribute to PCB layout activities, driving best practices when prototyping, debugging, and validation.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and components for hardware designs based on detailed analysis and testing.
Candidates should have:
- Experience managing a small multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Experience in designing microprocessor and microcontroller circuitry.
- Experience designing battery-powered devices.
- Experience in low noise analog and digital circuitry.
- Experience in electronic schematic capture and layout.
- Experience in mechanical / product / packaging design is beneficial.
- Ability to provide mentorship and technical guidance while actively participating in engineering tasks.
