About the role
We are on a journey to Outstanding and need a dedicated Work Placement Coordinator at Outwood Academy Newbold to build and manage our P16 T Level placement program, ensuring students gain quality industrial experiences each week.
Key responsibilities
- Broker, manage and grow the placement offer with local workforce providers.
- Ensure student placement experience is positive, appropriate and safe.
- Safeguard and mentor students on placements through day visits.
- Collaborate with the Senior Director of Science and 6th form lead to establish processes and systems for the role.
- Shape the impact of the placement program across the trust.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Adaptable and able to immerse fully in the school environment.
- Experience in safeguarding students on placements is desirable.
- Understanding of Level 3 qualification spectrum is advisable.
- Training on T Levels will be provided; prior knowledge not essential.
