Working Pattern: Casual hours - Needed for peak exam periods in November, February/March and May/June.
Are you conscientious, reliable, and looking for a role supporting the vital examination process within an academy? Join us as an Exam Invigilator, where you will work as part of a team supervising pupils undertaking school and external examinations. The overall purpose of this post is to ensure all examinations are conducted in strict accordance with legal and school requirements.
This role requires individuals who are flexible and adaptable, with proven self-confidence and the ability to work on their own initiative.
Responsibilities:
- Be crucial to maintaining the integrity of our examinations.
- Work as part of a team, supervising pupils and ensuring strict adherence to all legal and school regulations.
- Prepare the exam room, admit and quietly seat candidates, and manage the distribution and collection of exam papers.
- Maintain efficient timekeeping, deal calmly with minor behaviour issues, and be prepared to escort candidates in an emergency.
- Ensure a fair and compliant environment for all students.
Qualifications:
- Reliable, conscientious, and flexible individuals with a good standard of education.
- Prior school experience is welcome, but not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a calm and self-confident demeanour, and the ability to work effectively on your own initiative.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and confidentiality/data protection is required.
- Ability to maintain good organisational standards.
