Our department

This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic, enthusiastic, and inspiring classroom practitioner to join our successful and forward-thinking Design and Technology department. The D&T department prides itself on providing students with a rich curriculum that equips them with the skills and knowledge to solve tomorrow\’s problems. The popularity of Design and Technology has enabled us to offer Product Design at KS5, where many students pursue the subject to degree level. The successful applicant will work as part of a team to continue delivering a first-class creative education in DT.

Our Design & Technology department offers a range of subjects to KS5, including GCSE and A Level Product Design, GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition, and Food Science and Nutrition at A Level. Our department comprises two DT workshops, two fully equipped food preparation rooms, and one textiles room. Our curriculum is ambitious and regularly reviewed, and you will be encouraged to contribute ideas to enhance our provision.

Early Careers Teacher

Applications are welcome from those with experience teaching Design Technology or from Early Careers Teachers. An excellent knowledge and understanding of the subject are essential. You should possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to our students\’ lives and share our goal of putting students first.
