The role of EAL Tutor is to develop and be responsible for the day to day operation of the Academy’s EAL provision, providing tuition for small groups of students who have English as an additional language to improve student achievement.

About the Department:

The English Department at Outwood Academy Foxhills is a friendly and welcoming team made up of 8 teachers, 2 one-to-one tutors, our Librarian and an EAL tutor, all with a wide range of experience and skills. Several members of the team have leadership experience and every teacher is an experienced GCSE examiner. There are many opportunities for staff to develop a range of career opportunities within the school and the trust, making the English Department at Outwood Academy Foxhills a fantastic place to develop your career.

Here at Outwood Academy Foxhills, we consider the role of EAL Tutor as a vital part of the academy's success and the outstanding English results. You will work closely with a fantastic team of experienced and knowledgeable individuals to assist our EAL students to access the English Language as part of their journey here with us.

Outwood Academy Foxhills, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire is within easy reach of Lincoln, Grimsby and the east of Doncaster. In its most recent Ofsted inspection in November 2022 we achieved ‘Outstanding’ in all areas.
