Advanced Teaching Assistant Grade 5 SCP 9-11, Start Date: 1 September 2026, 32.5 hours per week, Term Time Only Plus 5 Days Actual Salary: £20,545-£21,498 (FTE £27,254-£28,142)

Join Outwood Academy Bydales as an Advanced Teaching Assistant. This role involves supporting student achievement across all learning platforms and delivering targeted interventions to individuals and small groups, both physically and online.

We are opening an Advanced Resource Provision at Outwood Academy Bydales for September 2026, aimed at providing appropriate provision for students with communication and interaction as their primary need.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high‑quality learning activities to individuals and small groups.
  • Monitor student progress and implement statutory development plans.
  • Support diverse student needs including SEND, EAL, and gifted/talented status.
  • Support students with ASD in mainstream lessons.
  • Collaborate with staff to deliver targeted interventions.
Qualifications
  • Highly skilled and adaptable professional with experience in supporting students with SEND.
  • Passion for supporting students with ASD and understanding of differing needs.
  • Experience with statutory development plans and progress monitoring.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
