About the role
We wish to appoint a Hub Coordinator to promote, organise and lead a range of opportunities for our underachieving, disaffected and vulnerable students. Focusing on raising aspirations, promoting ambition, re-engaging in education, closing gaps in academic performance and ultimately reintegrating back to mainstream education. The Hub Coordinator will build and maintain excellent relationships with students as well as parents, carers and third party agencies, in order to put students first and increase their chances of success in and beyond the centre.
As a Hub Coordinator you must have the ability to work with students and have a real interest in the issues faced by the students. You will monitor and support all students in the cohort, both academically and behaviourally. You will work closely with the Leadership Team on improving student behaviour, attendance and outcomes. Day to day, you will work with students to help them to prepare for a return to mainstream provision.
The successful candidate needs to be extremely well organised, IT literate and have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Applicants should have experience of working in a school environment and have a suitable level of knowledge around the issues affecting young people in the local communities.
