About the Department: The Modern Foreign Languages Department at Outwood Academy Hasland Hall is a vibrant, supportive, and forward‑thinking team. Operating under the guiding principle of “Students First,” the department is dedicated to breaking down cultural barriers and providing all students with the linguistic tools to succeed and open doors to diverse career and educational opportunities. With a strong emphasis on academic ambition, the department plays a critical role in the academy’s drive to increase participation in the subject in Spanish, encouraging students to pursue a language at Key Stage 4.
