Outwood Grange Academy is seeking a highly motivated individual to lead our attendance strategy and ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive. This pivotal role requires a confident leader who can effectively implement policy, manage a small team, and provide targeted support to students and families facing attendance challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the attendance strategy and implement related policy.
  • Manage a small team to provide targeted support to students and families.
  • Conduct home visits to support families and improve student attendance.
  • Manage legal processes and coordinate casework intervention.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support children whose education is at risk and help families maximise educational opportunities, particularly vulnerable groups.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and energetic disposition.
  • Ability to remain calm in a busy environment.
  • Proficient IT skills in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Working Pattern & Duration

Monday to Thursday, 8:00am until 4:00pm, and 8:00am until 3:30pm on Fridays. This is a full-year position with annual leave entitlement. As a maternity cover, the end date of this role is 27 November 2026 or when the employee returns to work.

Requirements

  • UK driving licence and a car for home visits.
