Advanced Teaching Assistant (Temporary – until August 2026) Outwood Academy City Fields, part of Outwood Grange Academies Trust.

Role Summary

Promote the learning and welfare of children, providing practical and learning support to those with communication and interaction needs, including students with Education Health Care Plans. Work under the guidance of the class teacher, SENDCo or the extended inclusion team to design, deliver and review bespoke interventions, and collaborate closely with the Inclusion Team to foster an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver interventions tailored to students’ communication and social needs.
  • Record and analyse the impact of interventions to inform subsequent support.
  • Collaborate with teachers, the Inclusion Team and parents to promote a respectful, optimistic and supportive school culture.
  • Assist in the implementation of the school’s ‘Students First’ ethos across teaching and support provision.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of inclusion strategies within the academy.
