Teaching Assistant & Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Job Description Outwood Primary Academy Darfield is seeking a Teaching Assistant and Higher Level Teaching Assistant for our academy. Responsibilities As a Teaching Assistant, you will support teaching and learning of Maths and English during the morning periods in collaboration with teaching staff. In the afternoon you will work as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, covering the PPA of class teachers, assisting in the whole planning cycle and class management. Key duties include: Supporting the teaching and learning of Maths and English in class Providing assistance to class teachers in lesson planning and class management Maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment Cooperating with teaching staff, colleagues, students, and families Safeguarding children and acting in line with safeguarding procedures Working Pattern The role comprises 16 hours as a Teaching Assistant and 12.5 hours as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, Monday to Friday during term time plus two days.
