About The Role
We are looking for an outstanding individual who is enthusiastic, dynamic and inspirational to join our Inclusion team as a Specialist Teaching Assistant, with a specialism in Exam Access arrangements. As a Specialist Teaching Assistant you will be required to work closely with members of our Inclusion team and will have the energy and creativity to develop and inspire students learning, life skills and personalised outcomes.
Key Focus
A key focus will be to lead the administration of the exam access arrangements process and ensure students receive exam access arrangements testing where necessary. You will also support student provision and increase students\’ ability to access all areas of the curriculum and school life.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for a caseload of students inside and outside of the classroom during structured or unstructured time.
- Lead the administration of the exam access arrangements process and ensure students receive exam access arrangements testing where necessary.
- Assess the needs of students and use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support students’ educational progress and attainment and prepare them for adulthood.
- Deliver intervention programs to individuals and small groups, preparing relevant and appropriate learning experiences in conjunction with the department staff.
- Track and monitor student life skill targets and/or EHCP outcomes, discussing progress with parents and agreeing new targets/EHCP outcomes at Interim Reviews.
Qualifications
An Access Arrangements qualification would be advantageous.
