Overview

Outwood Grange Academy is seeking to appoint an individual who will be responsible for managing medicine and to lead on the provision of First Aid and medical assistance to students and staff at the academy. The successful candidate will play a key role in the ongoing health and welfare of students and staff across the academy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage medicine and lead on first aid and medical assistance to students and staff.
  • Produce individual healthcare plans, PEEPs, and Risk Assessments for N code children, with support from inclusion teams for children with SEND.
  • Accompany students to hospital and home whenever necessary.
  • Log incidents and maintain databases and supplies.
  • Exchange clear information with colleagues, requiring excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Qualified first aider
  • Enthusiastic and empathetic
  • Experience of working in a school environment is desirable

Details

Hours: 10 hours per week during term time plus five days. The working pattern is Monday to Friday, 07:45am to 09:45am.

Start Date: As soon as possible.

Salary: £6,321.58 to £6,527.55

In the first instance, this will be a temporary position until 31 August 2026.
