Outwood Primary Academy Woodlands is seeking a Teaching Assistant and Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our academy. The successful candidate will work as a Teaching Assistant during the morning periods, supporting Maths and English under the direction of teaching staff. In the afternoon, they will transition to a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, covering the PPA of class teachers. The working pattern is 16 hours as a Teaching Assistant and 12.5 hours as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, Monday to Friday term time plus two days.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting curriculum delivery and classroom management
- Assisting teachers in the planning cycle and class management
- Building positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
- Operating within safeguarding procedures
Required qualifications and experience:
- Highly self‑motivated with strong expectations for all pupils
- Excellent curriculum knowledge in Maths and English
- Proof of experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
