Our Physical Education Department consists of four teachers. The Department is a combination of experienced staff and more recent entrants to the profession, and is given strategic direction by supportive and determined leaders. We have the benefit of support from the Trust's team of expert Physical Education Directors who provide support, materials, advice, coaching and who model and team-teach in lessons alongside us to develop our expertise. The Department has created a rich and engaging curriculum which has deep roots in teaching for understanding. Our curriculum is differentiated by depth, ensuring all students build firm foundations, develop confidence and retain their learning. Our extra-curricular offer is diverse offering students a wide range of opportunities to engage, including discrete dance lessons in KS3 along with various sport disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching in Physical Education to students across the curriculum.

Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching licence or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Physical Education, preferably within a secondary or key stage setting.
- Strong understanding of curriculum developments and statutory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to use a range of teaching strategies and assessment methods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with colleagues and students.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
